Tuesday Quartet

The Tuesday Quartet play pleasant, modern jazz. It plays it’s own compositions and the occasional standard. Latin rythms, swing, funk and blues/rock.

Peter Tjeerdsma (saxophones), was teacher at the conservatories of Groningen and Arnhem, conductor/arranger of the Metronome Big band and jazz quartet Springtide. Peter writes most of the beautiful compositions for The Tuesday Quartet.

Bert Kleijn has been a well known drummer in the jazz scene. He played with the Noodband with Greetje Bijma all over Europe, for instance at the North Sea Jazz Festival and the Berliner Jazztage.

Domi Aerts (guitar) is (besides being a guitar teacher in the music school of Hoogezand) member of the popular Ed Baker & thye Boogiemachine. Domi also wrote beautiful tunes for the repertoire. He has been playing for more than 25 years with double bass and bass guitar player Philip Baumgarten. Philip was a member of numerous bands in Groningen and is having a lot of fun with this formation.
